Thrust Control won a Beverley seller when rated 50 then followed up in a Catterick handicap. He couldn't cope with another weight rise back at Beverley a fortnight ago and the assessor may have got to him. Sardanapalus went up 5lb for his victory at Thirsk in September and has been unable to cope so it's SAREEAH who is given the nod. She showed some promise on Polytrack for Clive Brittain and was making her debut on Turf for David O'Meara when catching the eye at Thirsk earlier this month. That was her first start for a year and she's on a very lenient mark. Imaginary World is consistent enough and has won from a much higher mark over the track and trip in the past.

Rod Millman has won this twice in recent years so Master Carpenter has to be greatly respected. A debut winner at Leicester, he stepped up in grade to finish a good third behind Anticipated and Justice Day at Ascot and this extra furlong is in his favour. The winner's trainer, Richard Hannon, is represented by MALACHIM MIST, behind Justice Day on his Newbury debut but much improved when making all at Goodwood. He's a nice prospect and looks the one to be on. Sleepy Joe made a bright start on fast ground at Leicester and it's never a problem to ignore a poor run at Chester though he did finish a long way behind Intense Feeling. Fire Fighting, from the first crop of Irish Derby winner Soldier Of Fortune out of a winning miler, is one to note for the future.

Greeleys Love attempted to make all over 1m2f at Windsor but couldn't quite hold He's A Striker. This should be his trip and he's likely to make a bold bid in first-time blinkers. Stepping Ahead followed a promising debut on Polytrack in November with a very convincing maiden victory at Nottingham. The runner-up is now rated 77, the same as Elaine Burke's charge, who looks well enough weighted to give a good account. Mystical Man won over 6f here in July but finished tailed off on his reappearance.
