Lion Beacon's strong finish over the stiff 1m4f at Beverley last time suggests today's longer trip will suit and Dali's Lover should also last home having scored over a shorter distance at Chepstow recently. Argent Knight won over this trip at Nottingham on his return to action and is another who could figure but a speculative vote goes to winning debutant DEIRA PHANTOM. David Simcock's charge is the least exposed in the field after scoring at Salisbury earlier this month and can follow up under William Buick.

SEA SHANTY didn't have to dig that deep to land a double at Windsor last time. He's up another 6lb but looks capable of confirming earlier running with Yul Finegold and going in again. Ogbourne Downs won his maiden at the same track last month and may well improve past Jodies Jem in this given the latter just failed to land a hat-trick on the Polytrack in January and has been raised another 2lb. Etijaah faded in the closing stages of his return at Ascot and looks a real threat with that pipe-opener under his belt but Saint Jerome has a bit to find in this company.

Dark Emerald returned a 12/1 winner on his reappearance at Yarmouth and attempts this longer trip for the first time. THEODORE GERICAULT makes more appeal as he had no problem with today's distance at Pontefract when overcoming trouble in-running and ending up a cosy winner. A hat-trick looks on the cards for Sir Michael Stoute's charge as he should have too much for the top weight. October's maiden winner Mutashaded has plenty of scope for improvement on his return but Salisbury winner The Gatling Boy finished tailed off on his comeback, albeit in better company than this. The remainder are harder to fancy and overlooked.

Number One London never threatened despite finishing third at Chester on his first attempt at today's distance. He did have Maraweh well behind, however, and should figure again. Excellent Result was a big disappointment on his return at Newbury and, although his yard is in better form now, the Godolphin colt still has plenty to make up with DRAGON CITY on latest running. The latter also had Dalaklear behind when fifth at Newbury and Harry Dunlop's charge gets the nod in this. Legends and Poyle Thomas look newcomers to keep an eye on in the betting.

Squeeze My Brain and Three Choirs are not without a chance on their seasonal debuts but MAGIQUE will have benefited from her recent run and is preferred. Jeremy Noseda's filly wasn't beaten far when fourth at Kempton and can confirm superiority with Mandy The Nag in the process of winning this. Sweet Martoni is another who could figure with Ryan Moore's presence taking the eye while this looks easier than Berwin's task at Newbury last week and she makes more appeal than the out-of-form Balady.
