Mick Channon is certainly trying hard enough to find a race for Memory Styx, runner-up in four of her five races, but she will find this tough and her stablemate Chesturo, a half-sister to five winners, looks to have a better chance. KIYOSHI made a sparkling debut at Newmarket when staying on very strongly over the minimum trip and that was probably the best maiden we've seen this year having produced a host of subsequent winners. It will be a surprise if she's beaten though the Richard Hannon pair Mildenhall and Royal Connection are respected along with Ihtimal, who is definitely one for the future.

Almost all enter the fray in top form though Aussie Lyrics faces a stiff task on his first start since November. Jeremy Noseda won this in 2011 and Zamoyski, a maiden winner here in September, is taking a slight drop in grade after staying on at one pace at Haydock. King Of The Danes is a typical tough front-runner from the Mark Johnston yard and battled on strongly to score over a mile at Ascot with Swift Bounty an eye-catching fourth. Mysterial also made all when landing a 7f Warwick maiden but the front-runners could set this up for LAMUSAWAMA, who came from way back to score with plenty in hand over 1m2f at Kempton. Neither of the remaining pair can be dismissed in a tight handicap.

Noble Citizen, runner-up a year ago to a 33/1 chance, has been inconsistent and is 2lb higher. George Guru had dropped to a very fair mark when scoring over the course and distance and a 5lb rise won't help. THE CONFESSOR, who finished third, was having his first start since October and, as he usually runs well here, he's taken to reverse the form and come out on top. Common Touch is one to note in the betting after his absence since October as he has a fine record over this trip and is well enough handicapped on his best form.

Valtina looked a nice prospect when landing a Haydock maiden last month but didn't appear to last out 1m2f in a Listed contest at Newbury on Friday. Harmonic Note has been racing at a high level since landing a Dundalk maiden and Ger Lyons doesn't waste journeys across the Irish Sea while Heading North has run well in a couple of stiff handicaps after ending her first campaign with a victory over 7f at Chepstow. Contradict looked suited by plenty of give in the ground when slamming the opposition in a Salisbury handicap so any more rain would greatly aid her cause but ELIK looks to have more scope than most of these and gets the vote after a very promising run at Chester where she was unlucky not to finish much closer.

Paul Webber does well with his runners on the Flat so the mare Danvilla is one to keep an eye on as she will have no problems with the trip. SILVER SAMBA won a maiden handicap over the course and distance in August and has run very well in both starts this year, especially when a close third in a better class handicap at Ascot last time when Bow To No One was just behind. She looks well treated and can get back to winning ways. Palazzo Bianco has only won once and looks to have plenty of weight but Astromagick and Cosimo De Medici are both past winners of this and the former in particular looks to have a fine chance of a repeat.

Maria Montez showed good speed on her return at Windsor and would have been much closer but for being struck on the head in the final furlong. She should go well while Chevise is well handicapped on Turf due to all of her seven career victories coming on the all-weather. But Gaelic Wizard was beaten in a seller last time while Sister Guru followed her victory at Lingfield in January with a moderate effort at Kempton last month. Commandingpresence is poorly handicapped on Turf compared to her all-weather rating but EMIRATESDOTCOM, who finished in front of New Decade last time, has now dropped to a mark he looks capable of winning from and has one of the more experienced pilots on board so he's handed the vote.
