Algeria vs Slovenia team news – Belhadj and Koren both start

| 13.06.2010

The teams for Algeria v Slovenia are in and all the English-based players feature.

For Algeria, Portsmouth’s Nadir Belhadj starts in defence, while his club team-mate Hassan Yebda plays in central midfield.

Rangers’ Madjid Bougherra will begin alongside Belhadj in Algeria’s backline, while the country’s star player Karim Ziani will be their chief creative force on the left of midfield.

There is no place in the side for captain and most-capped player Yazid Mansouri, whose performances have come in for criticism in recent matches.

Meanwhile for Slovenia, former West Brom favourite Robert Koren will pull the strings in midfield.

Koren will look to supply chances for forward duo Zlatko Dedic and Milivoje Novakovic
