League One was always going to be one of the toughest divisions to predict this season with many teams evenly matched and this is the way it has panned out through the opening 13 games.

Numerous teams have already enjoyed short stints at the head of proceedings, with many clubs still flying high because of their impressive home form.

Some five teams are still unbeaten at home, with one of which being Brighton, who are 3/1 to win League One as they are currently enjoying a six point lead at the top.

Southampton have run into some form under new manager Nigel Adkins and have gradually begun to get back into contention after a slow start.

They are ten points off the lead despite winning three of their last four games and are 7/2 to be crowned League One champions.

Bournemouth are currently surprising many by sitting second in the standings and they have been helped by taking 16 points from a possible 18 at home.

Sean O’Driscoll’s team can still be backed at 20/1 to win League One and are seen to be punching about their weight.

Peterborough are level on points with Bournemouth and are 6/1 to win League One.

An improvement in their away form would boost their promotion hopes further as they have won just two of their seven games on the road.

Sheffield Wednesday have arguably the strongest squad in the league, but a recent inconsistent run of form has seen them drift out to 7/1 to win League One.

Huddersfield are 6/1 to lift the title and are also in the play-off places.

Charlton and Swindon both made it into the League One play-offs last season and will be optimistic of another assault on promotion. To bet on League One, view the full League One betting market.
