Wadsworth takes charge as Turner leaves position at Hartlepool
Published:Mick Wadsworth has been placed in temporary charge of Hartlepool after Chris Turner resigned with immediate effect from his position as Director of Sport.
Turner had been in charge of first-team duties since December 2008 and managed to keep the club in League One last season despite being handed a three-point penalty by the Football League after Gary Liddle was picked when he was supposed to be serving a suspension.
Hartlepool have also made a promising start to the current campaign through eliminating Sheffield United from the first round of the Carling Cup and drawing both of their league fixtures.
Wadsworth will have the responsibility of maintaining this unbeaten record when Hartlepool travel to Yeovil for their next League One encounter.
