AC Milan vs Catania – Robinho set to impress in first Milan start

| 17.09.2010

Robinho is set to start for AC Milan for the first time as they look to get their Serie A campaign back on track with a home win over Catania.

The Brazilian has had to settle for a place on the bench since transferring from Manchester City, including when Milan were defeated 2-0 on their last league outing away at Cesena.

However, with countryman Alexandre Pato injuring his left thigh in the Champions League success over Auxerre, Robinho seems the likely choice as his replacement.

Robinho is 9/2 to open the scoring against Catania, with Milan hoping to extend their unbeaten home streak at the San Siro to a lucky 13.

They have also won their last three at home without conceding a goal and are 3/10 to pick up another victory over Catania.

Milan are 11/10 to win again without conceding, although they only drew 2-2 in their home fixture with Catania last season.

Sampdoria ended last season with a home win over Napoli in the final round of fixtures and will be keen to produce a similar display to build on their promising start to the current campaign.

Giampaolo Pazzini scored the only goal in Sampdoria’s relatively recent 1-0 win and they have followed up this season with a home win over Lazio and a draw away at Juventus.

Sampdoria are 6/5 to beat Napoli again and it is 9/2 that Pazzani follows on from last season by opening the scoring.

Both games between the pair finished 1-0 to the home side last season, which could make the 8/11 that the fixture has under 2.5 goals tempting.

Sampdoria are 5/1 to beat Napoli 1-0. See the whole Sampdoria vs Napoli match betting market.
