Bradford vs Morecambe – Genuine chance to asses Bradford form

Published:

Bradford City’s 0-0 draw with Rotherham United on Tuesday night was a huge boost to a club that were pre-season favourites to win League Two but find themselves in 21st place after nine games.

Saturday will be a real chance to assess at what end of the table Bradford will be competing come April and May next year – Bradford are currently 28/1 to win League Two.

Morecambe travel to Bradford on Saturday and it’s a game that the Bantams must win if they are to convince anyone of their title credentials.

Match Odds

Morecambe currently lie one place below Bradford in 22nd and have taken just the three points, a win against Southend, in the four away games they’ve played this year – they are 13/5 to beat Bradford.

In those four games they have conceded eleven times but Bradford have only mustered the two goals in front of their home fans and its 8/1 for the game to finish 0-0.

But if Bradford want to challenge for the League Two title, then they must register a comfortable win against Morecambe as Peter Taylor looks for the points to shuttle his team up the decision, and they are 1/1 to win.

If Morecambe were to win, Bantam fans can look forward to a season fighting off the threat of relegation from the Football League and Peter Taylor’s position would be under scrutiny.

First Goalscorer

In the past three season, Bradford have won the home fixture with Morecambe 2-0, 4-0 and 1-0 and Taylor will be looking to summer signing Dave Syers to lead the team and the midfielder is 12/1 to score first.

You can rule out any attempt at seeing Morecambe challenge for the League Two title, they are 100/1 to win League Two. See the full League Two football betting odds market here.
