Chesterfield will do well to keep unbeaten record at Rotherham

Published:

The biggest game of the weekend in League Two sees Chesterfield travel to Rotherham as both promotion chasing teams look to display their title winning credentials.

Both sides are in the top four of the League Two 2010/11 betting odds, with Rotherham just slightly edging the betting at 6/1, with Chesterfield at 7/1 to win League Two.

For Chesterfield to emerge from the weekend with their unbeaten record intact may prove difficult considering Rotherham have beaten Chesterfield on the last six occasions they’ve met.

Considering that record, Rotherham are a decent price at 6/5 to win, whilst Chesterfield can be backed at 11/5.

Chesterfield can take heart from the two times they played Rotherham at the Don Valley Stadium in League One in 2006 and 2007, winning both games 4-0 and 1-0.

Chesterfield will also have to be wary of Rotherham’s attack, particularly Adam Le Fondre who has scored 8 of Rotherham’s 17 goals this season.

Le Fondre is in sensational form and is 9/4 to win the League Two golden boot.

Port Vale vs Accrington Stanley

Port Vale have won their last three League Two games in a row, keeping a clean sheet in all three ties but face an Accrington side that have conceded just the one goal in seven League games.

Form would suggest a 0-0 draw could be on the cards and is available at 10/1 and that would leave Accrington’s unbeaten record still going strong.

Port Vale can boast strong favouritism for the game at 8/11 with Accrington available at 4/1 to win, but the draw is 5/2.

Torquay are still favourites to win League Two at 5/1. See the full the League Two football betting odds market here.
