Leicester vs QPR – Leaders travel to one of their bogey teams

| 17.09.2010

Leicester proved one of QPR’s bogey teams last season and the leaders will have to reverse this form if they wish to retain their spot at the head of the Championship table.

QPR have started the season in spectacular fashion with five victories and a draw from their opening six games, in which time they have conceded only two goals.

This form had made them 5/2 to win the Championship, but they face a Leicester team next that did the double over them last season, which included a 4-0 win on their own patch.

Leicester boss Paulo Sousa enjoyed a first victory when beating another of the early season high-flyers in Cardiff in his last game and will be optimistic of beating QPR at odds of 13/8.

QPR are also 13/8 despite having only won away at Leicester twice in their last seven attempts.

Cardiff are still second despite their loss at Leicester and they also face a team that beat them on two occasions last season when taking on Ipswich next.

Ipswich scored twice in both of these victories and are 8/1 to repeat their 2-0 victory at Portman Road.

Cardiff are 15/8 to return to winning ways and should be able to welcome back Craig Bellamy and Jay Bothroyd from injury.

Both are 9/2 to open the scoring and keep Cardiff on the toes of QPR.

Barnsley’s impressive home form has seen them feature towards the top of the Championship and they will look to continue their winning streak when they host Derby.

They have won all three league games at Oakwell and are 11/10 to beat Derby.

Meanwhile, Barnsley have scored eight goals in these three games, although Derby’s only victory this season has come on their travels.

Cardiff remain 4/1 to win the Championship despite their hiccup at Leicester. See the whole Championship winners betting market.
