Not long now until Brighton find their form in front of goal

| 29.09.2010

The rest of League One may need to beware as Brighton still have plenty of improvement left in them despite currently sitting at the head of the table.

Brighton are the 4/1 favourites to win League One following their victory over Brentford, which saw them open up a three-point advantage at the head of the division.

And defender Adam El-Abd is confident that further good results are in the pipeline once the club’s strikers find their range in front of goal.

Brighton had 23 shots on goal in the 1-0 win over Brentford, while they have only managed 13 goals in their nine league games.

El-Abd said: “It feels like only a matter of time before we bash someone. We have not scored three of four goals in one game yet, but I’m sure that will come.

“It feels like we are dominating games and just not getting the goals.”

This could be worrying news for Tranmere, who are currently in the bottom third of the table and host Brighton next.

Brighton are 11/10 to beat Tranmere, while the home side are 23/10 to win and continue the form which has seen them take four points from their latest two games at Prenton Park.

However, the trip to Tranmere has not proved particularly fruitful for Brighton in recent seasons as they have only scored twice on their last six visits and have lost on their last five.

Ashley Barnes is Brighton’s top scorer so far with three league goals and is 33/1 to top the scoring charts in the division this season. See the full League One top scorer betting odds market.
