Atletico Madrid vs Rosenborg – Must win for reigning champions

| 21.10.2010

Group B is one of the tightest groups in the Europa League and Atletico Madrid have a lot of work to do if they are to justify their 14/1 odds to win the competition.

Atletico host Rosenborg on Thursday in a game that has been described by Atletico midfielders Simao and Thiago as a must win.

Rosenborg are notoriously bad away from home in Europe, but are unbeaten in their last four league games and they are 8/1 to get a result on Thursday evening.

However Atletico are unbeaten in five games at the Vicente Calderon and are the 1/3 favourites to win the tie comfortably.

But having scored just one goal in their opening two ties, Atletico will be looking to Digeo Forlan to produce his La Liga form, he has three goals in seven games and is 3/1 to score first.

The game is sure to be a tense and nervy affair as Atletico search for that elusive win that will kick start their campaign, and a 1-0 win for Atletico is available at 6/1.

Aris vs Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen head to Greece to face a side whose home form is remarkable.

In 22 European games, Aris have never lost at home and it will take a mighty big effort from the Group B leaders to end that record.

At 1/1, Leverkusen are favourites for the tie but considering Aris’ home form that price doesn’t represent any value, and Aris, at 11/4 to beat Leverkusen, are a big price for the undefeated side.

Leverkusen would be happy with a draw in their search for qualification, the draw is available at 12/5 and the German side are 4/6 to finish top of Group B

A win for Aris would send them top of group B and at 8/1, Aris are a decent price to finish top of Group B. See the full UEFA Europea League football betting odds market here.
