QPR vs Norwich – Leaders face tough test in Championship

Published:

Championship leaders QPR face their biggest challenge of the season so far when they come up against third placed Norwich City in the pick of the weekend’s clashes.

Neil Warnock’s side have 26 points from a possible 30 this season and sit six points clear at the top of the table.

They’ve also scored a frightening 24 goals and conceded just three in 10 games.

Jamie Mackie has eight of those goals and is 4/1 to score the first goal against the Canaries.

Rangers, naturally, are favourites for the game at 8/13 as they won all but one of their home games this year and will be oozing self belief.

Norwich, fresh from crushing Bristol City 3-0 last time out, will also come into this game on a high.

They’ve won three and drawn one of their five away games and at 9/2, are in with a chance of stopping the runaway leaders.

Sheffield United vs Burnley

A match up between two play off hopefuls has the potential to be very intriguing.

Sheffield United are out of form, they’ve got one win in five games, and are disappointing those who expected more whilst they languish in 19th place.

The Blades do have Ched Evans to call upon after the Welsh international shook off a groin problem and been passed fit for their meeting with the Clarets.

Sheffield United are 8/5 to beat Burnley and will want to use this game as a springboard to power up the league.

Burnley are in better shape than the Blades, comfortably in sixth and unbeaten in four leagues games.

They’re made 13/8 to win at Bramhall Lane, but although their form has been good, they still have yet to win away from Turf Moor.

The Clarets will want that streak to end this weekend, but Sheffield United will not make it easy for them.

Norwich are 18/1 to win the Championship. Follow the full NPower Championship betting odds market here.
