Cardiff close gap on QPR with thrilling comeback win

Promotion hopefuls Cardiff roared back from 2-0 down against Bristol City to claim a 3-2 win in a pulsating Severnside derby.

A brace from Peter Whittingham and a sixth league goal of the season for Jay Bothroyd secured three points for Cardiff, who are 3/1 to clinch the Championship title.

The Bluebirds’ victory closed the gap on league leaders QPR to four points, as Neil Warnock’s side had to settle for a goalless draw with Norwich.

Unbeaten QPR are still the 11/8 favourites to be crowned Championship winners this season, and they will be reasonably content with a point after Wes Hoolahan missed a first-half penalty for the visitors.

The Canaries will also be pleased with a draw, as it strengthens their hold on third place. Paul Lambert’s men are 16/1 to win the Championship title.

Next up for league leaders QPR is a tricky trip to Swansea. Warnock’s side are 6/4 to win. See the full Swansea vs QPR Match Betting Odds market.
