Shaun Harrad named fans’ League Two player of the month

| 05.10.2010

Shaun Harrad’s five goals in the month of September has earned him the accolade of the Professional Footballers’ Association League Two fans’ player of the month.

The Burton Albion striker’s most memorable moment was his hat-trick against Rotherham when he rescued a point for his side after they had gone 3-0 down.

Harrad managed four goals in the month of September and his tally for the season currently sits on five, four behind League Two’s current topscorer Adam Le Fondre.

Le Fondre has been in incredible goalscoring form with nine goals in his ten league games and is the 13/8 favourite to be the top League Two goalscorer.

But Harrad has been working under Burton boss and former striker Paul Peschisolido and it seems that Harrad is learning as much as he can from the man who scored 137 goals in his career.

“The manager is absolutely superb to work with,” said Harrad, “I have learned so much from him.

“He has brought my game on so much and added so much to it and I appreciate it.

Harrad is currently available at 12/1 to be the League Two top goalscorer but if Burton can continue their early season form, then the opportunity for more goals should arrive for Harrad.

Burton host Wycombe on Saturday and Peschisolido’s side will attack the side who sit three places above them in the table.

Burton are 7/5 to take all three points and that would send them above Wycombe in the table and the 25/1 odds available for Burtonto win League Two would shorten slightly.

Wycombe haven’t lost away from home this season but have drawn four of the five games they’ve played and it’s 12/5 for the honours to be shared on Saturday.

Wycombe are 9/5 to win at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday. See the full Burton vs Wycombe betting odds market here.
