Bet on England to triumph in the Ashes series in Australia

With top wicket-taker and run-scorer markets, here is the full squad that will participate in the Ashes betting market.

Andrew Strauss, Captain – Strauss has won four out of six tests as captain and averages 37.94 in Test series against Australia.

Alistair Cook, Vice-Captain – In 19 Test innings against Australia, Cook has scored 498 runs averaging 26.21.

James Anderson – Anderson’s swing bowling has taken 17 wickets in three series against the Aussies, with five coming down under.

Ian Bell – Late inclusion to the side, Bell averaged 41.53 on the 2006/07 tour to Australia.

Tim Bresnan – Surprise choice for many, but can bat as well as bowl, averaging 46.83 in ODI’s against Australia.

Stuart Broad – Just the one series against Australia but took 18 wickets and a challenger for top series wicket-taker at 4/1.

Paul Collingwood – Was a hero in the 2010 Ashes tour and averaged 44.31 in Australia 2006/07. Contender for top series runscorer at 7/1.

Steven Davis – Back up wicket-keeper for Matt Prior and ODI opener but unlikely to play much in Test series.

Steven Finn – Never faced Australia but has proved his mettle over the summer and is 4/1 to be top series wicket-taker.

Eoin Morgan – Unknown quantity to Australians but Ricky Ponting has talked of Morgan as the one to be afraid of.

Monty Panesar – Back-up spinner to Graeme Swann and has 11 wickets in four matches against the Aussies.

Kevin Pietersen – Batting average is higher against Australia, 50.72, than in his career, 47.80, and is 4/1 to be top series runscorer.

Matt Prior – Contributes with decent scores batting at six, but only averages 32.62 against Australia.

Graeme Swann – One of the world’s best players and 1/1 to be top wicket-taker in Australia.

Chris Tremlett – Untried bowler whom Shane Warne speaks highly of and could be one to watch down under.

Jonathan Trott – England’s most solid batsman this summer and has 160 runs in two innings against Australia.
