Bet on Sevilla vs Valencia – History gives home side the edge

| 08.11.2010

After the blistering start to the season, Valencia have gone three La Liga games without a win and turning around this form may be tough as they travel to Sevilla next.

Match Odds

Despite Valencia’s mini slump, which has seen them fall nine points behind Real Madrid at the head of the table, they will still feel like they can take three points from Sevilla.

It has been their home form which has been the most concerning of late thanks to a defeat against Mallorca and a draw with Zaragoza.

However, on the road they have won three of their four games, with their only blip an acceptable one as they suffered a 2-1 loss at Barcelona.

Valencia are 23/10 to beat Sevilla, but they will have to put right a poor record in recent seasons at the Sanchez Pizjuan.

Sevilla have won four of their last five home games against Valencia in La Liga, while they have kept clean sheets in five of the last six games in all competitions.

Gregorio Manzano’s team are 6/5 to beat Valencia and will have gained confidence from their 4-0 home win in the Europa League in their last game against Karpaty Lviv.

First Goalscorer

Alvaro Negredo has been one of Seville’s chief goal threats this season and he proved the difference when the two teams last met at the Sanchez Pizjuan.

Negrado scored both in a 2-1 win over Valencia last season and is 6/1 to grab the first goal this time.

Aritz Aduriz is perhaps Valencia’s best hope for a goal and is 7/1 to break the deadlock, although Roberto Soldado could be the most in form after his double in the recent Champions League win over Rangers.

Soldado is 6/1 to be the first goalscorer against Sevilla. See the full Sevilla vs Valencia match betting odds market.
