Do you have what it takes to win the Ladbrokes Lads Cup?
The Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship is just over a month away and Ladbrokes.com are offering you and three mates the chance to join in the action at London’s Alexandra Palace. Sign up here.
Your team could be at the oche during the World Darts Championship, competing against 15 other teams from all around Britain for the chance to be crowned inaugural Lads Cup champions.
All you have to do is fill in an application form and tell our panel of experts – 15-times world champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor, ‘voice of darts’ Russ Bray and former ladies world champion Anastasia Dobromyslova – why you think you deserve to play in front of a packed house at the world’s greatest darts venue.
You may not be able to compete with the likes of Taylor for the £200,000 first prize, but you can bag yourself free entry to the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship, £250 expenses and a host of other brilliant prizes.
‘The Power’ is massive favourite in the darts betting at 4/9 to make it three world championships in a row. Second favourite is 2007 champion and 2009 runner-up, Raymond van Barneveld, who is at 11/1 in the darts championship odds.
The Dutchman is joined at 11/1 by James Wade. The Englishman showed his credentials with a victory in the World Grand Prix in Dublin, defeating Adrian Lewis 6-3 in the final. With five major titles now behind him, Wade could certainly be worth betting on.
Lewis was in impressive form until his final defeat, so there are definitely worse bets than backing him to win his first world title at 20/1.
At 12/1 in the darts betting are Gary Anderson and Simon Whitlock. The Scot and Aussie have enjoyed decent seasons and betting on them to triumph in London could yield a very tidy profit.
