Gillingham vs Wycombe – Wycombe unbeaten on the road

Published:

Wycombe Wanderers head to Kent on Tuesday night hopeful of maintaining their unbeaten record away from home.

Gillingham will be hopeful of ending that record as the two sides meet for the first time since they were both relegated form League One.

Last season’s fixture between the two ended 3-2 to Gillingham, but the Kent side haven’t adjusted to life in League Two as well as their counterparts and Wycombe, at 7/4 to beat Gillingham, look the value in the market.

Wycombe currently lie sixth in League Two mainly in part to their cracking away form and Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler knows his side face a tough ask to repeat last season’s success.

The Gills are 6/4 to beat Wycombe and have only lost once at home this season, despite sitting in 18th place in League Two, but the draw, which has happened at Gillingham’s Priestfield Stadium on three of the last four occasions between the two sides , is 23/10.

Burton Albion vs Port Vale

League Two favourites Port Vale are back to winning ways after going four league games without a win, and the 7/2 favourites to win League Two are 6/4 to beat Burton Albion.

Despite their little slump, Port Vale find themselves just a point behind leaders Chesterfield and a win against Burton would further strengthen their claims to the title.

The two sides have only met twice in their history, both in the 2009/10 League Two campaign where the home side won on both occasions and Burton are 7/4 to win at home.

Burton have scored more goals at home (13) than they have away (6) while Port Vale have scored more away (11) than they have at home (8) and the over 2.5 goals is priced at a generous 11/10.

Wycombe are 9/1 to win League Two and bounce straight back to League On. See the full League Two football betting odds here.
