Punters Russian away from England for 2018 World Cup
Published:Russia are now odds-on (4/5) with Ladbrokes to host the 2018 World Cup.
England have drifted to 2/1 having previously been as short as 8/13 to host the tournament.
Spain & Portugal are making late headway and in the run up to the announcement are 3/1 chances having been as long as 12/1 in the last week. Belgium & Holland are the rank outsiders at 33/1.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “England are now friendless in the market. We expect to see further support for Russia as the week goes on but can’t rule out the Iberian bid.”
