A P odds-on for Sports Personality of the Year award

| 13.12.2010

A P McCOY IS odds-on for this year’s Sports Personality of The Year award with Ladbrokes. With the announcement taking place this weekend, McCoy has firmed up at the top of the market and is currently a 5/6 chance from even money.

Graeme Swann is the other notable gamble on the shortlist having been backed from a pre-Ashes 40/1 into 8/1.

Ladbrokes have been lending their support to AP extensively in the run up to the awards including the production of a video ‘Straight from the horse’s mouth’ which can be viewed below.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Swann’s early Ashes performance must have bowled a few voters over but as far as the punters are concerned McCoy is still the front runner. We are more than happy for him to cost us a fortune again.”
