Boxing Day fixtures succumb to snow

The snow is set to take its toll on the Boxing Day Premier League fixtures.

Ladbrokes have given odds of 50/1 for all the Premier League fixtures to be cancelled because of adverse weather and 10/1 for five out of eight fixtures to be called off.

Blackpool are the shortest odds of 5/6 for their game to be postponed.

Bloomfield Road doesn’t have the luxury of under soil heating and their game against Manchester United on the 4th December was postponed whilst all others went ahead.

The Boxing Day football match is as traditional as mince pies and the Queen’s Speech and football fans will be hoping that the snow holds and the tradition continues.

Ladbrokes is offering 5/6 on all of the Premier League games to go ahead despite the inclement weather.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Normally our punters would be looking at who’s going to score first and which team will be at the bottom of the league over Christmas.

However this adverse weather has meant that the hallowed Boxing Day fixtures may not go ahead at all, and it’s given our customers something else to have a flutter on.”

Ladbrokes odds on number of games to be cancelled:
0 games – 5/6
1-4 games – 5/6
5-8 games – 10/1
All games – 50/1
