Crystal Palace v Hull – Eagles set to soar after good run of form

| 11.12.2010

The season started so well for Crystal Palace – they came out of administration, signed Edgar Davids and everything looked rosy. However, a run of three wins in 15 games saw the south London side slip into the relegation zone.

Since that dreadful run though, they have got rid of a rather tired-looking Davids and improved significantly, winning their last three home games.

Hull are also languishing near the foot of the table thanks to a winless October and Palace head into this game as the 11/8 favourites to continue their brilliant home form.

Despite their lowly position of 19th – just two points ahead of Palace and the drop zone – Hull have reason to feel confident heading into this game. They have not lost in four games and have tasted defeat just once in their last seven away games.

Their cause will also be helped by the fact that Palace talisman Darren Ambrose is struggling with a dead leg and Hull captain Ian Ashbee looks set to return after recovering from an Achilles injury.

However, with the chance to record their fourth home win in a row for the first time in more than nine years, it’s hard to see Palace slipping up. Backing them to come out on top at 11/8 looks to be well worth a bet.

And with Palace keeping consecutive clean sheets at Selhurst Park, putting some cash on there to be under 2.5 goals at 4/5 could also be worth considering.

A £10 bet on Palace to win 2-0 pays out £80. New customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
