CSKA Sofia v Besiktas – Turks will book second round place with win

| 02.12.2010

A win for Besiktas against bottom of the table CSKA Sofia would guarantee their progression to the second round of Europe’s Carling Cup.

Despite being rock bottom of the group, CSKA have enjoyed a good run of form recently and are now seven games without defeat.

However, Besiktas are also in the midst of a very decent set of results. The Turkish side have lost just one of their last eight games after losing four in a row in October.

They won their last away game 2-1 against Turkish giants Galatasaray and should be able to come through at 11/10 against a Sofia side that have won just once in their last five Europa League clashes.

Rapid Vienna v Porto

Runaway Portuguese league leaders Porto travel to Austria having already qualified from Group L without tasting defeat.

André Villas-Boas’ side have now gone 26 competitive games without losing and it’s hard to see them surrendering that record in Austria.

Rapid Vienna have a poor home record in the group stages of European competition, winning just one of their last 11 games at home in the Europa League and Champions League.

However, they haven’t lost in their last five games, so Porto will have their work cut out to get a win. With Porto already qualified, backing this game to finish in a draw at 12/5 could yield a very tidy profit.

A £10 bet on Porto to draw 1-1 with Rapid Vienna pays out £50. New customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
