Marseille v Chelsea – Ancelotti’s men will coast through with a draw

| 08.12.2010

While Chelsea’s league form may have stuttered over recent weeks, in the Champions league they have no such worries.

They have comfortably won all five of their games so far to guarantee their progression to the knockout stage as group winners. They eased past Marseille 2-0 in their first meeting at Stamford Bridge, with goals from John Terry and Nicolas Anelka.

Terry looks set to play his second game in a week after being out with a continuing nerve problem. His return will undoubtedly steady a Chelsea ship that has kept just one clean sheet in their last nine games.

However, Marseille have lost just two of their last 20 home games and are already through to the next round. Back the draw at 23/10.

Zilina v Spartak Moscow

The second game in Group F is even more uninspiring than the clash between Chelsea and Marseille.

No matter what happens in this game, Zilina will finish bottom of the table while Spartak will finish in third and thus claim a Europa League spot.

Even with nothing to play for, the Russian side should still have too much for Zilina who have lost every game in the competition so far, conceding 17 goals in their five games and scoring just once.

It’s hard to see beyond a win for the visitors in this clash, but with nothing to play for it promises to be a rather turgid affair. Back the Spartak Moscow win at 11/8 and under 2.5 goals at 4/5.
