Peterborough vs Rochdale – Peterborough set for table rise

| 10.12.2010

Peterborough look set for a rise up the League One table following tonight’s clash with Rochdale considering they are have only lost two of the 20 ties between the two at home.

At 5/6 to beat Rochdale, Peterborough offer plenty of value and are probably the pick of tonight’s Football League fixtures.

However Peterborough’s defence has been shaky conceding 22 goals in their nine home games, and the fans at London Road could be set to see the ball hit the back of the net a number of times tonight.

Rochdale have managed 12 goals in their nine away games which suggest they’re good for at least a goal against the Peterborough defence, but the Peterborough attack has managed 24 goals at home and a 3-1 Peterborough win is priced at 11/1.

Although Rochdale, who are 10/3 to win this game may be able to sneak a draw and a 2-2 scoreline is priced at 12/1.

Having ended a run of four consecutive away defeats in the league with a draw at Carlisle last time out, Rochdale will be targeting a point from this game.

But the Rochdale defence will have to stop the strike partnership of Aaron McLean and Craig McKail-Smith who between them, have amassed 17 goals this season and both strikers are 9/2 to grab the first goal tonight.

As for Rochdale, Gary Jones has been their star man in front of goal this season with eight league goals and the former Barnsley and Swansea City striker is 12/1 to score first.

A £10 treble on Peterborough, Queens Park Rangers and Swansea all winning tonight would return £51.10. New customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
