Tremlett odds-on to replace Broad
Published:Chris Tremlett is the 2/5 favourite with Ladbrokes to replace Stuart Broad in the third test in Perth.
Following Broad’s withdrawal due to injury, it’s 3/1 Yorkshire medium-fast bowler Tim Bresnan replaces him and 4/1 his county team-mate Ajmal Shahzad steps into the void.
Spinner Monty Panesar is a 16/1 outsider to be called up.
England are the 6/4 favourites to win the third test and are now just 2/5 to win the series. Australia are 5/1 to come back and win with a drawn series priced at 7/2.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “On a track that suits fast bowling we expect Tremlett to step in. England are already odds-on to win the Ashes and a victory in Perth will guarantee the safe return of the urn at the very least.”
