Tremlett sets tone as England dominate first day of the third Test

But having entered the Test match as 6/4 favourites, England are now 4/6 to win the third Test after a superb bowling effort which dismissed the Australian top order bowled for just 28 runs.
Mike Hussey was once again the saviour of the Australian innings and he looks a dead cert to be Australia’s top series runscorer.
But Mitchell Johnson (62), Peter Siddle (35) and Ben Hilfenhaus (13) all started to repay the faith shown in them by the Australian selectors and it’s the tail orders late rally that has kept Australia in this Test match.
The last three wickets fell for 79 runs but it’s the tail orders actions with the ball in their hand that will define how this Test match plays out.
The Australian attack is yet to fire in this series but Johnson enjoys bowling at the WACA and the selectors have high hopes for the man who has taken no wickets in this series so far.
Hilfenhaus and Ryan Harris have been given the new ball as England look to build on their bowling performance and Jonathan Trott looks a strong bet at 4/1 to be England’s top 1st innings runscorer.
Aside from Siddle who is 7/2 to take the most first innings wickets for Australia, Harris, Hilfenhaus and Johnson are all 3/1 in the Ashes betting, but preference lies with Johnson who has a proven track record on this wicket.
