Bolton v Chelsea – Trotters set for a Blue Monday

| 24.01.2011

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has demanded his side prove their slump is over by beating Bolton at the Reebok this Monday night.

The Blues are big favourites in the Ladbrokes Premier League betting at 4/6 to get a victory, despite not winning away in the league since October.

Despite that run of six games without a victory on the road (including four defeats against the likes of Birmingham and Wolves), Ancelotti believes his side can show they’re still genuine title contenders.

He said: “I said after the Blackburn game that it was an important win, but the important test will come against Bolton.

It’s away and we’ve not won away since October. It will be difficult and it’s important we come back to win.

“We have to show that the bad moment has gone.”

Chelsea’s last trip to the Reebok saw them come away convincing 4-0 winners, but things should be much tighter this time around as Bolton look to solidify their defence with new signing David Wheater brought in to give some steel to the style.

Bolton haven’t won in four Premier League games, a run that has seen them slipped to 14th in the league. With neither team in sparkiling form, this promises to be a nervy affair.

Back a close, low scoring game. Chelsea to win at 4/6 is still well worth a bet, but you can increase your winnings further by backing under 2.5 goals at 5/6.

A £25 stake on Chelsea to win 1-0 would return £175. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
