Eight stand but they all bow to the Master in the Ascot betting

Saturday’s Ascot card sees plenty of Cheltenham Festival fancies in action, but all eyes will be on the Queen Mother Champion Chase favourite Master Minded, who is bidding for his 11th win in 15 starts.

Currently 7/4 in the 2011 Queen Mother Champion Chase betting, Master Minded could see his odds slashed with a strong performance at Ascot on Saturday.

With Master Minded such a short favourite for the Victor Chandler Chase, new customers may want to take advantage of the free bet worth £25 by signing up here and having an ante post bet on Master Minded in the Cheltenham Festival betting.

Master Minded is the 8/13 favourite in the Victor Chandler Chase betting market, and will face eight rivals after they all stood their ground at the final declaration stage early on Thursday.

Having won the 2009 running of this race, Master Minded has proven form at this track, including a 16-length demolition of the field back in November.

The likes of Petit Robin (7/1), Somersby (8/1) Crack Away Jack (10/1) and Mad Max (16/1) will all take on the two-time Champion Chase winner, and their respective trainers will all be hoping for a solid performance as the Cheltenham Festival draws closer.

Gauvain (20/1), Kalahari King (20/1), Tchico Polos (25/1) and I’m So Lucky (33/1) make up the field that will attempt to dethrone a horse who has two very convincing wins in his last two starts.

Petit Robin finished second behind Master Minded at Cheltenham last time out and is probably the pick of the rest considering the form his yard is in.

Nicky Henderson trained five of the seven winners at Kempton last Saturday and he will be hoping that Petit Robin can claw back some of the eight lengths that separated the two at Cheltenham.

A £25 stake on Master Minded winning the Champion Chase would return £68.75. New customers can sign up here for a free Cheltenham bet worth £25.
