La Liga leading duo heavy favourites to win again

Real Madrid are highly fancied at 2/9 in the La Liga betting to beat Almeria and overhaul Barcelona, at least temporarily, at the head of the league standings.

Jose Mourinho’s team have won 12 of their last 13 league games and should have little trouble brushing aside an Almeria team still waiting for their first home victory of the campaign at the ninth attempt.

Unsurprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo is the man that Almeria need to stop as he has netted eight times in Real Madrid’s last five league matches.

Ronaldo is 15/8 to be the first goalscorer against Almeria, but with Kaka feeling his way back into action, he may represent better value in this betting market at 4/1.

Almeria are 11/1 to beat Real Madrid and may take confidence from the fact that they have avoided defeat in two of their last three home games against the opposition.

Barcelona are in action two hours after their title rivals at home to Malaga and they are also heavy favourites at 1/12 to take another three points.

Pep Guardiola’s side have averaged three goals a game across their last nine league meetings with Malaga, while they have triumphed in 17 of the last 18 times they have faced the opposition at home.

David Villa opened the scoring in Barcelona’s most recent league game away at Deportivo and he can strike first again at 5/2 to make it five goals in as many games against Malaga.

Punters who believe that Barcelona will have an off day can get massive odds on a Malaga victory, with the visitors priced at 20/1, while the draw can be backed at 10/1.

A £25 bet on Barcelona beating Malaga 1-0 could see a return of £225. New Ladbrokes customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
