West Ham v Wolves – Wolves to suffer hammer blow
West Ham United talisman Scott Parker is convinced his side’s good form over Christmas is just the start of their ascent up the table.
The Irons face a crucial New Year’s Day clash against the only side below them in the league, Wolves, and are 4/5 to extend their unbeaten run to four games.
They look good to do just that against a Wolves side who lost their last game 2-1 against fellow relegation strugglers Wigan Athletic.
Parker said: “We’ve come off a good result against Fulham, we’ve been unbeaten and not lost a game, that’s important.
“I think the confidence has been there all year, but there are times, obviously, when it gets a little bit edgy, which it’s bound to when you’re bottom of the league.
“Everyone is confident that we can get ourselves out of this and hopefully we can.”
“We’ve got a really important game at the weekend. It’s something to build on and there are definitely positives from the draw with Everton.”
They should certainly be confident of beating a Wolves side who have picked up only one point on their travels this season – and that was against Everton in August. Since then, Wolves have lost seven straight away games and will struggle to get anything out of their visit to the Boleyn.
Back West Ham to give their survival hopes a huge boost at a very tempting 4/5.
