Hull to heap some more pressure on pitiful Preston

| 10.02.2011

Hull have been collecting points in the Championship of late without managing to secure many victories, but they are worth a bet at 8/13 to triumph against Preston.

Preston are ten points from safety after a woeful run of five defeats in their last seven league games and one victory in their last 15 fixtures.

Meanwhile, Hull have lost just one of their last 15 league games, but their big problem has been seven draws in this period.

However, the sequence does include a 2-0 win away at Preston and backing Hull to succeed by the same scoreline again looks more than plausible at 6/1.

Preston’s betting odds are 9/2 to beat Hull and gain a much-needed victory if they harbour hopes of avoiding relegation to League One this season.

Like Preston, Coventry have been on a dreadful run of form of late, which has scuppered their play-off aspirations.

Coventry have lost seven of their last nine Championship games, but they have a chance to pick up a rare victory against a Crystal Palace team who are, according to the league table, the worst travellers in the division.

The Eagles have taken just six points from their 15 away games, which could make Coventry a decent price at 5/4 in the Championship betting odds to land victory.

Elsewhere, Bristol City may be able to welcome back leading striker Nicky Maynard for the visit of Leeds.

After scoring 21 goals last season, Maynard is yet to play for Bristol City during the current campaign after undergoing knee surgery.

His involvement could spur Bristol City to victory at 15/8, while Leeds are 7/5 to collect what would be just a third league victory in nine games.

A £25 stake on Hull beating Preston 3-1 would return £225. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
