Count on Ladbrokes for big-priced Cheltenham winners

Published:

Ladbrokes News has enjoyed a profitable Cheltenham and with one Festival race remaining, there is still time to rake in the profits.

We have correctly called the two biggest-priced winners of the Festival so far, with 25/1 Byrne Group Plate winner Holmwood Legend named yesterday and now Zemsky chosen at 33/1 to win the Foxhunter Chase.

Added to other correct predictions including Quevega, Big Buck’s Junior and Bob’s Worth, the profits have been strong off win stakes.

Meanwhile, backing our tips each-way would have also helped to keep the profits ticking over, with Grandouet and Spirit Son both finishing among the places.

The final race of the Festival is the Grand Annual Chase and with 24 runners set to take part it looks a muddling affair on paper to try to sort out.

Anquetta and Shoreacres both have solid each-way credentials at the head of the market and the strong record of Nicky Henderson in the race means that slight preference is given to the former.

Little support has been given to Anquetta in the Cheltenham betting despite Henderson already having two winners on day four of the Festival as the horse has drifted from 7/1 to 9/1.

On the other hand, Shoreacres has remained steady at 7/1.

However, in the hope of finding another big-priced winner Keki Buku is the selection for the Grand Annual Chase.

Although still a maiden over fences as he waits for a first victory over the larger obstacles, the horse clearly has talent based on the fact that it competed in group company over hurdles and is 18/1.

The other longshots worth considering each-way are Nomecheki, who is unexposed at the two-mile trip and is better off at the weights than when finishing second on his latest start.

Nomecheki is 20/1 in the Cheltenham betting to win the Grand Annual, while at even bigger odds Sports Line may be worth a small bet based on his form in Ireland and appears to have returned to a fair mark.

Sports Line is available at 33/1.

A £20 stake on Keki Buku winning the Grand Annual Chase would return £360. New customers can sign up here to take advantage of free bets totalling up to £60.
