Fulham vs Bolton – Cottagers brilliant home form to continue

| 27.04.2011

A few weeks ago Fulham were firmly in the relegation mix thanks to a dreadful run that saw them go eight games without a win around the Christmas period.

However, the past few months have seen a dramatic change in fortune for Mark Hughes’ side and just three defeats in their previous 13 Premier League games means they have all but guaranteed themselves top flight football for another season.

Things have stuttered somewhat for Bolton recently, with the Trotters winning just two of their last five games – a run that included their 5-0 FA Cup semi final hammering at the hands of Stoke City.

Things were a lot better in their last game though. They overcame Arsenal 2-1 thanks to a last minute header from Tamir Cohen and another win at Fulham would see them overtake Everton and climb into seventh spot in the table.

It will be easier said than done for Bolton though who ‘boast’ the fourth worst away record in the league. They have beaten Fulham at Craven Cottage once this season though – a tight 1-0 win in the FA Cup – but they should have a tougher time of things this time around.

Fulham are the 5/6 favourites for this game and it’s easy to see why. They have not lost in their last six home league games and have conceded only two goals in that period – both in their 3-2 win against Blackburn Rovers.

With none of the previous four games between these sides yielding over 2.5 goals and with a point pretty much guaranteeing Fulham’s survival, this should be a tight, low scoring affair. Back under 2.5 goals at 4/6.

A £30 stake on Fulham winning 1-0 would return £180. New customers can sign up here for a free £30 bet.
