Mellow yellow for Her Maj?
Published:The Queen is odds-on to wear a yellow hat at the Royal Wedding, according to Ladbrokes.
The bookies report a surge of bets for the colour forcing the odds down to 10/11 (from 3/1) overnight.
And the bet surge has left the firm feeling blue at the prospect of Her Majesty donning a yellow hat.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The plunge on a yellow hat caught us completely by surprise. Royal punters all seem to have the same hunch. If they’re right we’ll be miserable on the day of the wedding.”
Blue and purple remain the 7/1 second favourites with apricot at 11/1. Black remains the 100/1 outsider.
