Estonia the best bet to join Jedward in Eurovision final

Published:

The support for Jedward to win the Eurovision Song Contest has been huge in recent days and they should have no problems being one of the ten nations to secure enough votes to progress from the second semi-final in Dusseldorf.

Jedward have been backed into 7/2 in the Eurovision odds and are second favourites to win the contest behind France, which is a good omen as four of the last nine winners had been in this position in the betting market.

However, to win the competition, first they must successfully negotiate their way into the final with their song Lipstick, which they are expected to do comfortably.

Jedward’s odds are 1/8 to qualify for the final, which could be a big price bearing in mind they are the shortest-priced nation involved in the semi-final to win the competition.

Yet despite this, Bosnia and Herzegovina are 1/25 to successfully qualify for the final.

With ten final berths up for grabs, many nations are odds-on to progress through the semi-final.

Another country among these is Estonia and Getter Jaani certainly has one of the more catchier songs in this year’s competition with Rockerfeller Street.

Although it is not really worth backing Estonia to reach the final at Eurovision odds of 1/10, the 4/1 on offer that the nation receives the most votes in the second semi-final could represent good value.

The one problem with this bet is that the results of the finishing order for the semi-final are not announced until after the final has been decided.

Estonia may also be one of the outsiders worth considering to win the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest and they are available at 13/1 to do so.

A £30 stake on Estonia winning the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest would return £390. New customers can sign up here for a free £30 bet.
