Hiddink favourite to replace Ancelotti at Chelsea

| 22.05.2011

GUUS HIDDINK has been installed the 11/10 favourite with Ladbrokes to replace Carlo Anclelotti as manager of Chelsea.

As news of Ancelotti’s departure arrived, the bookies installed the Dutchman as clear favourite to return to the club he managed temporarily in 2008-2009.

Andre Villas-Boas is the 6/1 second favourite with Jose Mourinho available at 8/1 to make a sensational return to the Bridge.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said: “Hiddink left Chelsea on great terms and we reckon a return to the Bridge could well be on the cards.

“Experience has taught us that this particular managerial market is even more volatile than usual. There’s very little prospect of an early payout. Abramovich has an uncanny knack of springing surprises.”

Ladbrokes – Next permanent Chelsea manager:
Guus Hiddink 11/10
Andre Villas-Boas 6/1
Jose Mourinho 8/1
Marco Van Basten 10/1
David Moyes 12/1
Jurgen Klopp 12/1
Mark Hughes 12/1
Martin O’Neill 16/1
Fabio Capello 16/1
Pep Guardiola 16/1
Frank Rijkaard 20/1
Joachim Low 20/1
Rafa Benitez 20/1
Didier Deschamps 25/1
Harry Redknapp 25/1
