Swansea v Nottingham Forest – bet on Swans to make final
Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers is convinced his side’s impressive home form will not desert them as they welcome Nottingham Forest to the Liberty Stadium for their play-off semi final second-leg this Monday evening.
Despite the sending-off of left-back Neil Taylor after less than a minute, the Swans managed to hold Forest to a goalless draw in the first leg and head into this game as 1/1 favourites.
The Swans had the best home record in the Championship during the regular season and Rodgers believes his side are in a great position to continue that form and progress to the final.
He said: “We have put ourselves in a good position going into the second leg and that’s all we wanted to do.
“We have got big confidence at home, but we are certainly not arrogant and we are not disrespecting anyone.
“The pitch is set up for us. It is a fast pitch, which means we can pass the ball and move and control the game.
“But we are well aware that it’s going to be one hell of a night.”
The Swans won their March encounter with Forest at the Liberty 3-2. However, with the Swans boasting the best home defence in the division and Forest only winning one game away to top-half opposition all season, it promises to be a much tighter affair this time around.
Swansea have lost only one of their previous 13 games at home and have not tasted defeat in eight on home soil.
Back the Swans to come out on top at 1/1 and for under 2.5 goals to be scored at 4/6.
