Managerless Chelsea to bid massive £30million for Neymar

Brazilian striker Neymar is top of Roman Abramovich’s summer shopping list, according to the Sunday Telegraph.

The 19-year-old forward currently plays his football for Santos but has made no secret of his desire to ply his trade in Europe.

Despite not having a manager since the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti, the Blues remain a force in the transfer market. They are also thought to be chasing Tottenham Hotspur play-maker Luka Modric and Alexis Sanchez.

With rumours rife that Didier Drogba could be on his way out, getting the talented Brazilian would be a huge signing for the Blues, as Abramovich continues his quest to win the Champions League.

If these latest rumours are to be believed then it goes a long way to showing who really controls the transfer dealings at Chelsea – Guus Hiddink is the favourite to take the role of Abramovich’s No.2 at 1/4, but Mark Hughes is also up there in the betting at 3/1.

Elsewhere, Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has committed his future to the club.

Speaking to Radio Sportiva, his agent said: “I talked to him about a hypothetical transfer and he replied, ‘I am the captain of Manchester United, earning well, I’ve won almost everything … why should I go to Italy right now, when Italian football is going through a turbulent period?'”

Keeping Vidic and other senior players is vitally important to United as they chase a 20th league title.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s side are currently the 15/8 favourites to retain their Premier League title next season.
