All avenues point to another Vettel victory at the British Grand Prix

| 06.07.2011

Sebastian Vettel led from start to finish to comprehensively dominate the European Grand Prix and it is hard not to expect a display of similar supremacy as the Formula One season prepares for Silverstone.

Vettel has triumphed in six of the opening eight races of the campaign and already has one hand and four fingers on a second successive Formula One title having established a 77-point advantage at the top of drivers’ standings.

Three victories from the final 11 races would see him overhaul the points tally that saw him crowned world champion last season and there is no real reason to suggest that the first of these will not arrive at the British Grand Prix.

The British Grand Prix odds have Vettel as the 5/6 favourite to take the chequered flag and his own personal record and that of his constructor Red Bull in recent years only heighten the case that he will claim victory.

Not only does Vettel have the best car in Formula One this season, but he has shown a liking for Silverstone in the past.

The German has secured pole position in each of the last two years and went on to win in 2009.

Last year he had to watch Red Bull teammate Mark Webber top the podium after Vettel suffered a puncture on the opening lap and despite making a storming recovery through the field, he could still only finish seventh.

Other Formula One bets are also available for the British Grand Prix that may involve Vettel.

He beat Fernando Alonso by almost 11 seconds to win the European Grand Prix and it is 10/11 that the winning margin at Silverstone is also over 7.5 seconds.

Meanwhile, punters wanting to hedge their bets that either Vettel or Webber will win the British Grand Prix can get 4/9 that either Red Bull car triumphs in the race for the third straight year.
