Who is Tiziano Crudeli?

| 28.07.2011

Ferrari, Sophia Loren, Roberto Baggio and Spaghetti Bolognese – Italy have provided us with some fine exports over the years but Tiziano Crudeli may yet turn out to be the finest.

The passionate Italian football fan has made a name for himself on Italian television for his, quite frankly, ridiculously biased commentary and has developed a cult following worldwide.

Take a slice of Chris Kamara’s foolishness, Alan Green’s nonsense, Phil Thompson’s bias and Adrian Durham’s ability to get under people’s skin and it sounds like a recipe for disaster.

But as the above video will testify, Crudeli’s ability to get under his co-presenters skin coupled with his infectious passion and ability to reach new levels of decibel activity have very much made him a household favourite.

Like any good foreign commentator Crudeli is judged on his pronouncement and annunciation of the word goal, and the commentator has it down to a tee.

Any time Zlatan Ibrahimovich, Samuel Eto’o or Edison Cavani find the back of the net in the Serie A, Crudeli can be found leaping from his seat in the gantry with all the rigour and verve of a man 40 years his junior.

Crudeli is a true football fan and his opinion has become well respected in Italy where he’s become something of a celebrity.

As the cult following grows, so does the worldwide status and with the football season fast approaching, we’re looking forward to what Crudeli can bring to the table.
