Ireland 11/4 for repeat of World Cup shock

| 24.08.2011

Ireland are 11/4 with Ladbrokes for a repeat of their shock World Cup win.

The last time the sides met Ireland defied odds of 10/1 to pull off one of the biggest shocks of the tournament turning over 1/33 chances England.

England are 1/4 to atone for the defeat and Trott is the batsmen most likely to make a half century at 13/8. Ireland’s Ed Joyce is a 9/4 chance to hit 50 runs in the match.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The last time these sides met it produced one of the betting upsets of the year. The odds favour England again but give Ireland a real chance of a second victory.”
