Obama on the drift in as Perry & Romney close in

| 16.08.2011

Barack Obama is being deserted by punters in the US Presidential race according to Ladbrokes.

The incumbent President was all the rage to secure another term earlier in the year hitting a low of 1/2 shortly after he oversaw the execution of Osama Bin Laden but has been on the drift since then as political punters stick with Mitt Romney (9/2) and Rick Perry (9/2) in the race to the Whitehouse.

Of the two Republican candidates it’s Perry at 6/4 who is fancied to secure the nomination over Romney (7/4).

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Obama looked nailed on earlier in the year. Punters now think the Republicans will give him a run for his money with Perry leading the charge
