The League One teams to put in your accumulator this weekend

Published:

Although there is little current form to go on heading into the second gameweek of League One fixtures, we believe that Essex duo Colchester and Leyton Orient can both secure victories, alongside Hartlepool.

Colchester to beat Wycombe @ 10/11

Colchester were impressive on the opening weekend when sticking four goals past Preston and can be relied upon to maintain their 100 per cent start in their first home game of the campaign at home to Wycombe.

Wycombe may be unbeaten in their last five fixtures in all competitions with Colchester, but were perhaps slightly fortunate to hold Scunthorpe on the opening day of the campaign to a 1-1 draw after being dominated for long periods.

Colchester should prove far more deadly in front of goal and look decent value in the League One odds that they make it six points from six.

Leyton Orient to beat Tranmere @ 1/1

We are again going against the statistics by tipping Leyton Orient to beat Tranmere.

Tranmere have triumphed on four of their last five visits to Leyton Orient, but were slightly fortunate to beat Chesterfield in their opener.

On the other hand, outside promotion candidates Orient were perhaps slightly unfortunate to lose at Walsall and can utilise home advantage to gain their first victory of the season.

Hartlepool to beat Walsall @ 11/10

Home wins have been secured in the last four meetings between Hartlepool and Walsall and there is no obvious reason to suggest that things will change this season.

Only a last-minute equaliser prevented Hartlepool picking up an upset victory at MK Dons on the opening day and they should have too much for Walsall.

The treble of Hartlepool, Colchester and Leyton Orient all winning pays out 8/1.
