England odds-on for ODI series
Published:England are expected to wrap up a fine summer of cricket against India in the ODI series according to Ladbrokes.
The bookies rate england as 8/13 chances to take the ODI series (India 5/4) and they’re 4/6 to win the first ODI.
Every England batmsn can be backed at a top price to score the most runs and it’s Cook who leads the way at 7/2.
Trott is the joint 4/1 second favourite with Morgan and Kieswetter also enters the frame at 5/1.
Sachin Tendulkar is the 3/1 market leader to top-score for the Indians and it’s Praveen Kumar who is expected to do the most damage with the ball at the same price.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “We’ve laid England for the series which isn’t surprising given events this summer. As per usual the real action will happen in play and a competitive match will ensure turnover levels of up to half a million pounds.”
