The Safety Net: Malaga to collect first La Liga win of season

Published:

The safety net was successful with all of its predictions last week and we are hoping to begin in the next five days in the same manner as Malaga host Granada in the Monday clash in La Liga.

Big things are expected of Malaga this season after a summer of heavy spending, but they did not get their campaign off to the greatest start with a defeat away to Seville.

However, they should have no such troubles back on their home patch for the first time as they look to give their excited supports greater grounds for optimism.

Malaga have never lost a Spanish top-flight encounter against their Andalusian neighbours, with Granada only ever scoring two goals in their six away fixtures with their local rivals.

Like Malaga, Granada currently sit in the La Liga relegation places after the first gameweek of the campaign, but they, unlike Malaga, will be happy just to survive in their first top-flight season for 35 years.

Granada bought well on the final day of the transfer window, but it is unlikely that Ikechukwu Uche and Pape Diakhate will be ready to make their first starts.

Julio Baptista is still missing for Malaga, but with Santi Cazorla starring in the midfield and Ruud van Nistelrooy waiting to poach goals in the box, Manuel Pellegrini’s side should easily have enough quality to collect their first victory of the campaign.

With Malaga 4/9 in the La Liga odds to beat Granada, we will be staking £45 on this result to fulfil our aim of making £20 each day.

Wealth warning: although we are confident the safety net bet’s strategy will be profitable over a period of time, the nature of sport means we cannot guarantee you will win every single time.
