The Weekly Accumulator – Mega value on offer in Europa League

| 15.09.2011

It is already the time for the group stages of the Europa League to commence and although it is tough to predict just how seriously teams will take the competition, we believe we have found seven winners that pay 70/1.

Atletico Madrid are perhaps our biggest bankers in the Europa League odds as they should have little trouble winning at home to Celtic.

With last season’s Europa League top scorer Radamel Falcao now in their ranks and still searching for his first goal for his new club, this should be enough to inspire an Atletico Madrid victory.

Meanwhile, Celtic have lost all three of their European away outings already this season.

Braga are arguably the best value bet as last year’s beaten finalists travel to Championship side Birmingham.

Birmingham may have beaten another Portuguese side in Nacional to reach the group stages, but Braga are far more formidable opposition and have made an unbeaten start to their league campaign.

Lazio may decide to rest Miroslav Klose and Hernanes, but the depth of their squad should mean they have too much for average Romanian side Vaslui, while PSV’s squad also looks far superior to that of Legia Warsaw.

Elsewhere, Copenhagen are another side worth following at home, while although Rubin Kazan are known for being relatively goal-shy, they can be expected to leave Ireland with three points in their encounter with Europa League minnows Shamrock Rovers.

Europa League selections
PSV to beat Legia Warsaw @ 2/5
Lazio to beat Vaslui @ 2/5
Atletico Madrid to beat Celtic @ 4/9
Rubin Kazan to beat Shamrock Rovers @ 8/15
FC Copenhagen to beat Vorskla Poltava @ 4/6
Braga to beat Birmingham @ 7/4
Metalist Kharkiv to beat Austria Vienna @ 7/4
