The Weekly Accumulator: England head Euro 2012 sixfold

| 06.09.2011

Tonight’s results are set to significantly narrow down which teams remain in contention to qualify for Euro 2012 and England should have little trouble maintaining their dominant position at the head of Group G with a home victory over Wales.

Germany are the only team to have so far confirmed their spot at Euro 2012 on the back of a successful qualifying campaign, but they could be joined tonight by Italy, Spain and The Netherlands.

However, none of these four make it into our accumulator, meaning that it is England that lead our sixfold, which pays 25/1 if they are all successful.

Wales have not won in England since 1977 and with Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young quickly developing an understanding at Manchester United, they can continue this on the international stage.

Elsewhere, Northern Ireland travel to Estonia without Kyle Lafferty and they are certainly not the same team without their target man in attack.

Therefore, Estonia can edge to victory and bring to an end Northern Ireland’s hopes of qualification from Group C.

An in-form Edin Dzeko can inspire Bosnia to a home victory over Belarus in Group D to put them in pole position to take second spot behind France, while Denmark look overpriced to defeat Scandinavian neighbours Norway in a game that is likely to be settled by the odd goal.

We have also gone for two away victories in Group F, as leaders Greece travel to Latvia and Georgia head to Malta, who are still awaiting their first point in the group in their eighth fixture.

Accumulator selections
England to beat Wales @ 1/7
Bosnia to beat Belarus @ 4/7
Georgia to beat Malta @ 4/6
Greece to beat Latvia @ 4/5
Denmark to beat Norway @ 1/1
Estonia to beat Northern Ireland @ 11/8
