Money comes for Misha, Craig and The Risk in the X Factor betting

| 10.10.2011

Misha Bryan, Craig Colton and The Risk are the big market movers after an eventful first live show of the X Factor, which saw joint favourite Amelia Lily sent home from the competition.

With each of the four judges having to send one act home in a specially formulated twist, Kelly Rowland certainly had the toughest job in choosing one of her four girls to send home.

All four produced sparkling performances and without doubt deserved a spot in the final 12 ahead of a number of weaker contestants from the other categories.

However, the decision was made to send Amelia home and this has unsurprisingly helped to cause a major shake-up in the X Factor betting market.

Fellow joint favourite after the judges’ house stage Janet Devlin is now the sole market leader and has even shortened from 7/2 to 9/4 to win the X Factor.

Even without Amelia, Kelly has an amazingly strong hand and it would arguably be a surprise if any of her three remaining girls are not involved in the latter stages of the show.

Misha is now the 4/1 second favourite to win the show, while Sophie Habibis, who was the act that many people though would leave the girls’ category, can be backed at 8/1.

Craig was the stand-out act among the boys and proved that he should not have been the early favourite to be the first boy to exit the show.

He is now 6/1 from 16/1 to win the X Factor, the shortest price of the three remaining boys.

The Risk made the same jump from 16/1 to 6/1 after starring in their first ever live performance as a group and now arguably look like Tulisa’s best hope of being the first judge to mentor a group to victory.
